Michael Brungard

Michael is a seasoned, licensed engineer with over 30 years of project management, design engineering, and construction administration experience with a focus on alternative energy. He has overseen the design and construction of large and diverse solar projects with a combined capacity exceeding 2,000 mW, principally in California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado.

Some key projects include the 200 mW Moapa solar farm, the 150 mW SolarGen 2 solar farm, the 201 mW Campo Verde Solar Farm (which included a two-mile transmission line tie-in), and the Upper and Lower Lukosi Hydroelectric Plants (approximately 40 mW) in Tanzania and rural solar projects throughout Rwanda.
He has vast experience in evaluating projects and development efforts from site feasibility to commissioning and throughout operations, including technical and financial due diligence and feasibility studies. He is experienced in identifying and solving issues related to the integration of distributed generators, particularly wind and solar, on the distribution system level.
